Erin Matheson
Erin Matheson is the Leadership Programs online Student of the Month. She is from Denton, TX and in her first year here at FHSU. She is currently working towards a Master of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership! She chose to get involved with the Leadership programs with a goal, “to bring distinct leadership focus to public administration that draws on scientific research and a deep understanding of transformational leadership to inspire a greater sense of meaning in work and more successful change efforts for growing cities.” She realized that the leadership programs matched both her interests and professional goals!
“Though challenging, I loved Qualitative Research because it forced me to dive deep into a specific topic and gave me the experience of completing an entire study. I feel that this class will be foundational to every other project I tackle in this program, in future academic endeavors, and in the workplace. Every organization needs more data-based information and data-based decision making!”
Outside of her academics, Erin runs a middle school youth group program, enjoys camping with family, antiquing, listening to true crime podcasts, and driving her daughter to all of her activities!
Congratulations, Erin!
